It was our first pretty day in a while and Natalie and Harley wanted to do a photo shoot while walking around camp. We also had fun playing with slow motion and time lapse.

The next weekend after we finished deep cleaning the kitchen and bedrooms, the girls wanted to walk through the woods. Natalie found a couple of places she wanted to try and take photos, but it was too dark under the trees, so we got very few.  Randle, of course, joined in.

Randle has started a youtube and Instagram account for Camp Wa Wa Segowea and is trying to post regularly.  For St. Patrick's Day, he had the girls help do a video, it turned out really cute!

The New Marlborough Library hosted an Easter Egg Hunt this weekend. The librarian, Mrs. Deb,  dressed up as the Easter Bunny.  She arrived via the local Firetruck and said hello to all the kids.  Natalie and Harley "hid" the eggs.  There were 2000+ eggs.  The kids that attended all got baskets full of eggs.  I made Natalie and Harley get their photo taken. Apparently, they felt they were too old.  The Egg Hunt was hosted at the local elementary school. The town we live in has a small Pre-K - 5th-grade school.  It was a perfect place for the local kids to hunt eggs and then play.  The way the villages and towns are set up in this area of New England are really cool.

This Sunday Natalie had another volleyball tournament.  This tournament was in Stamford Connecticut (2 hours away), at Chelsea Piers. It was an incredible facility.  They had a pool, ice rink, gymnastics gym, tennis courts, racquetball courts, basketball/volleyball courts, lacrosse/soccer/field hockey fields, and a workout facility.  They also had a full bar, coffee/juice bar, and a small deli/cafe. The seating was not so great, though.  All the parents were piled on top of one another in our camping chairs. The did so well in the last tournament that they were moved up in division from C division to B division.  This was excellent considering they are a first-year team.  This time, they placed 6th of 7 teams, but the competitive level was much higher.  They played well, and only one or two of the teams were truly better than them. Most of the teams are 2nd-year teams and are a little better in sync. We were very proud of how they played.

I finally finished our 2015 Year In Review (just a little behind)

This Friday is Natalie's 14th birthday.  I cannot believe she is almost 14.  She has chosen to go to the movies with 3 friends, (Sophia, Andrea, and Olivia) to see the newest Divergent movie on Thursday before her birthday.  We will stop for pizza and have cake before the movie.  Then  Saturday we will go with Randle for a kid's festival in Springfield, Mass called Meltdown. There will be around 4000 people attending, so Harley will be demonstrating how to properly hold a bow and use the foam swords, and Natalie and I will be doing crafts.  Then Sunday is Easter, and Grandma and Papa will be visiting until mid-week.

Band, Bowling and Volleyball

Harley is still attending band at the local school twice a week.  She had a quiz on "Ode to Joy" and got a 97.

Natalie continues to attend daily for her two classes each day.  She has kept an A in each class all school year.  Natalie has her first Spanish presentation this week on a mini novel they read as a class.   Natalie has also started playing volleyball for a club team at Northwest Connecticut YMCA. She is a part of the Northwest Juniors, and her team is the Panthers.  She had her first tournament this Sunday and they got 2nd place.

We went Duckpin Bowling for the first time a couple of weekends ago.  In Duckpin Bowling, you get three balls the size of a cantaloupe without holes, and 10 pins that are about half the size of regular pins.  If you know all three down in two rolls, it is  a spare, if it takes the third ball, you just get the points for each pin you knocked down. The lane is the same length as a regular lane.  It is a lot harder than it looks.  It was very fun, but we didn't get very good scores.

Harley has been taking a Volleyball Clinic at the YMCA every week.  She has really improved and seems to enjoy it.

We didn't get much snow this year.  We only had two sled-worthy snow days.  The first both mine and Natalie's phones were dead and the second they were dying.  So very few snow pictures this year.

We had a junk food night and made homemade pizza, Garlic Parmesan Wings, Hot Wings, and Rotel Dip.  Natalie had to leave to babysit before the dinner was finished and had to eat leftovers from the night before. (enchiladas) So I made her a pizza, Randle decorated a pizza box, and Harley made Randle's "shirt" and he delivered it to her. Unfortunately she was upstairs putting the kids to bed and missed the delivery, but enjoyed eating the pizza.
