Natalie turns 9

Natalie chose an owl cake this year.

This is the geocache they found.

Natlaie turned 9, March 25th. She has grown so much this year. She breezed through 3rd grade and is working on finishing 4th so that she can start 5th grade this fall with J. She started taking clogging this year for the first time. She is really pretty good. She is playing softball again, and is playing catcher. She still has the same sweet and tender heart. She has met several new people through our homeschool group, and although she misses getting to go to school and see friends everyday, I think she likes being able to be home too. She still loves reading and has read the first three Narnia books, and is reading the reading the Allie Finkle series. She is growing into the young lady that God wants her to be. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her.

She decided to have a sleepover. She had 2 girls from her softball team, and one friend from our homeschool group. After the game we went to the park, and had a picnic. They layed at the park for about and hour and then we went home. The played with dolls, and then Randle took the girls on a geocache hunt. It was near Lay Lake. Natalie and L fell in the lake, and they all got eaten up by mosquitos. When they came home we made soap, ate cake, and they danced like maniacs. Denise and my mom came over for the cake, and got to see all the crazy dancing. I put them to bed around 11:30 so that they could be up in time to get ready for church. At 2:30 am they all came in my bedroom, fully dressed, shoes, and hair brushed shaying they were ready for church. I VERY quickly told them it was NOT time to get up and to put their PJs back on and go back to bed. Such silly girls, they thought they were very funny.

Today we started geocaching. We heard about it a few years ago, but just now decided to try. It was a lot of fun. Randle, Harley and I found 4, and then found 2 more with Natalie. It was a lot of fun, and we can't wait to keep finding more. I figured out where the first one was. The second, I just happened to see a strip of paper that ended up being the log. The third (which was really the first one we looked for) Harley found. She was so proud. The fourth Randle and Harley found. While we were looking for this one we found a deer skull and spine. Randle and I were impressed, Harley however, thought it was disgusting. When Natalie got back from shopping with Grandma we went to look for one more, so Natalie wouldn't be left out. They found it pretty quick at Vincent's park. The girls were begging for more. We had only intended doing this one, but the girls kept begging so we tried to call Denise and have her look up the coordinates for another, but got Jared instead. He found them for us and the girls were soooo happy. While we were at this last one the land owner came over and asked what we were doing, and said he had wondered why this land was such a popular spot. It was funny, I'm pretty sure he thinks we are nuts. We have picked out three more to go find on Monday while we are out for a field trip. We can't wait to get some people to join us, it was too much fun.
